the last crime

over the years you listen to a lot of music and when you hear it again. it evokes memories and past lives we all had. this one cd in particular does that to me , it really hits home. We always joke and kid  ”if i was in a band… it’s going to sound like this.. “

we still do it.. i still do it. it’s great.

But this is one of the true sounds that came out of that time period. becasue, it was different at least to me. I bet everyone where they grew up had their hometown band. I always loved this band and when CD came out. i had to get one .. the art and everything is so simplistic ..soothing in a way. When the first note hit you’re locked in to it. playing air guitar and nodding your head whenever you were.

The thing about i think that also grabbed me was how long the songs were. back then i guess neurosis  had the longest songs and or shellac… but they killed it and open my eyes and others into this whole new world of songs. for me at least…

Some of my top bands may not be Maiden or Metallica.. but bands like Frodus, Shellac are just to me that’s a band that knows how to play a song. .repetivie beat build up climax, execution.
